Adam Hayward is a Sydney based media and journalism student, and a freelance columnist and sportswriter.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Adam decided to move interstate to pursue a career in sports journalism. Formally a hospitality business professional, Adam’s love for writing and sports enticed him to make the bold move to change careers.
Adam always had a talent with writing, whether it was creative storytelling, short stories or poems. Combining his talent with his passion for sports led him to try written articles for Zero Tackle, The Roar Sports and Off Campus websites.
Adam has written long-form and short-form content for digital media including news, features and opinion pieces. His articles have accumulated thousands of views and positive feedback from readers.
Growing up, Adam participated in many different sports at junior levels including rugby league, touch football, club cricket, indoor cricket and AFL. He was also a semi-professional tenpin bowler for over 20 years, competing in league competition, state and national tournaments and represented Queensland from 1999 to 2006.
A passionate and unbiased supporter of the North Queensland Cowboys, Brisbane Lions and Cricket Australia, Adam follows sports like a religion, but also to formulate content ideas.
